Arsenal to let Arshavin go for free

With no buyers in sight, Arsenal are ready to release their Russian playmaker Andrey Arshavin on a free transfer.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Dynamo Moscow is the most likely option for the 31-year-old.
The deal would need to be completed soon, with the Russian transfer window closing on Thursday.
Arshavin came to Arsenal as a huge star after Euro 2008, but after a couple of successful seasons his career took an inexplicable downturn.
He recently lost his place in the Russian national team as well, with coach Fabio Capello not capping him for the upcoming World Cup 2014 qualifiers against Northern Ireland and Israel.
Arshavin spent half of the previous season at Zenit, but his display was not impressive enough to persuade the St. Petersburg side to purchase his transfer.
